Does anyone know where i can get the 375ml brown belgian style bottles? Morebeer.com used to have them but now they are out. I am trying to stock up on some so i will have them when my Temptation clone is done in a year or so. Cheers!

well, if you've got that long I'd collect them the hard way....by buying the belgian beer and saving the bottles, other than that option have you checked eBay yet? _________________ On tap at the AckBar:

Morebeer has them. It is the deal of the day today. You might want to hop on it! _________________ Geoff |

| I have plenty of the big belgian bottles. I am just trying to get a hold of the split ones. The style of bottle that RR or the lost abbey use for their barrel aged batches. |

Yeah, that's what I thought you were talking about, the little stubbies? _________________ On tap at the AckBar:

Ah, gottcha. You might be out of luck. I could get you a case of 24 green champagne bottles 375 ml for $26.95 from Crosby Baker, but we don't keep them in stock. Crosby Baker doesn't have brown ones. _________________ Geoff |

| That seems to be the main problem i keep running into. I can find green, blue, clear.. Basically every color they make them in except brown. I am thinking about emailing Vinnie and asking if he knows of a distributor i can order them through. |

| Brown seems to be a problem, I have a brother-in-law who works at the Flying Saucer and I don't remember any brown belgian bottles. I have some 375, but not many. If you really don't care about the color I can have my brother-in-law get some for me and we can do some trading. |

| I am mainly trying to find the brown ones. If it turns out to be impossible to get them for awhile then ill get in touch with you. The only way I can get them right now is drinking a lot of RR and the lost abbey beers. |

As it turns out I do have like 3 or 4 of the brown ones, at least they look brown to me. I am color blind so they might not be brown at all. Westmalle Tripel comes in brown bottles. How many are you looking for?

In the latest issue of BYO there is a "How-to" on bottling beers in those kinds of bottles so I would say after that article gets around more suppliers will carry them. _________________ Right turn, Clyde. |

I thought Westmalle used caps instead of corks and cages? |

| It seems to me like you need to drink a bunch of Lindeman's Kriek and Frambrois. They are in the bottles you are seeking. I am not sure where to pick-up a 6 pack. I have seen them individually at the World Market. Rebel Brewer carries the 750ml ones, but not the 375ml. I only have a couple so they would be of no use to you. Good luck! |

Lindemans actually bottles in the green 375ml bottles that are almost small champagne bottles. I am trying to get my hands on the brown bottles that have a different shape. I don't think I would want to drink that much Lindemans either way . I guess I am going to have to call Vinnie at RR and see if he will let me in on his supplier. |
